Grocery Haul…what did I get?

If you have been following on Facebook, by know you know that I do my groceries on a weekly basis.  I assign a budget of Eur100 per week for a family of four.  Despite trying to stay on budget, I always end up spending more especially if the kids are with me.  When I am alone, I am more conscious of what I spend and   somewhat manage to stay on budget.

I use my meal planner to plan the meals for the week and a grocery list. This week I spent Eur128…..here is what I got!

Watermelon, peaches, onions, cucumber, carrots, ice-lollies, frozen hamburgers, various types of yoghurts, mini mozzarella balls, milk (10 cartons of milk as my 2-year old consumes lots of milk), large pack of cheese slices, grated mozzarella (this week at my son’s childcare are doing some cooking sessions, ham, mortadella, salami, 2 packets of mixed salad, fusilli pasta, farfalle pasta, cereal, sliced mushrooms, sweet corn, tuna in olive oil, pitted olives, peach ice tea drinks x 6, coca cola, baby peach and pear drink x 4, lemon juice, individually packed multivitamin juice, burger buns, various snacks for the kids, pumpkin seeds, baguette, crackers x 2, turkey/spinach escalopes, paper napkins, bin liners, square containers and toilet seat reducer (as soon we shall be starting potty training).  The square containers cost  Eur10.99 and the toilet seat reducer cost Eur5.99 the total cost would have been Eur111.02.  The meal planner together with the grocery list helps me with keeping on track with the week’s menu and having the perforated shopping list is convenient to make sure that I immediately take note of the groceries I need for the week.
