January 2021 meal plan

After having indulged during the festive season, it’s time to go back on track and include more healthy food in your meal plan.  This does not mean that food has to be boring.  Having a more balanced diet, will get you back on track in no time.  As a family with young children, would be still including the not so healthy meals, but it’s all about balance.

Meal planning should also take into consideration your budget.  Therefore, the recipes will not break the bank.  I highly recommend that you dedicate a leftovers day and a take out day.  Our leftover day is normally Monday, as I am able to cook larger or extra portions on Sunday, to be enjoyed on Monday.  Normally if I am making a stew on Sunday, any extra sauce will be used on Monday together with pasta.

Sticking to the meal plan can sometimes be difficult but don’t worry, just start again from where you left.  Don’t get discouraged, keep pushing.
