February meal plan

The month of February is going to be busy, as my focus is going to be mainly on helping my daughter get ready for her half yearly examinations.  In months like this I try and save time by meal planning more effectively.  What do I mean?  I include more freezer meals and slowcooker meals, so I have more time to dedicate to my daughter.  In all honesty I should do it more often, but sometimes I lack those couple of hours at a stretch to prepare freezer meals.

Some might think that having a meal plan and not sticking to it, is a failure.  There were months where I meal planned but had not stuck to it religiously…..and that’s ok.  Remember that you still have the ingredients to make a tasty meal.  Some recipes are new to me, so cannot tell it they are good or not.  Let’s hope for the best. Here is the plan for the month of February:

Note that already have items in pantry that will be using.  For example, I already have red kidney beans and rice but when I use them for the recipes, I would then either have nothing or very little.  As for Pasta already had in pantry.  With regard to the vegetables shopping list, it is what is required for the recipes and will be ordering them on a weekly basis.  However, for the recipes I plan to freeze, vegetables will be bought on the first week.  I also plan to freeze some French toast for a quick breakfast so will be getting some extra french bread and eggs (cinnamon have in stock).

Now let’s go shopping for the ingredients and start preparing the freezer meals.  Stay tuned as next time will share the shopping and freezer meals.
