Transition from Potty to Toilet

This is not a sponsored post and I bought the item with my own money.

If you have been following my blog for quite a while, you know that my potty training journey has not been an easy one (my Potty Training journey) and despite improving as the months went by, there were still some milestones that needed to be reached.

My son started school in February and again it was not easy (check out how it went February is finally over…..).  Despite being potty trained, once my son started school he had a regression, and refused to do potty at school.  At home he sporadically used the toilet, as he preferred the potty despite at childcare he used the toilet regularly.  I bought various types of toilet seat reducers….plain with soft cushion and handles, one with Paw Patrol characters, another with a high back with Looney Tunes characters….you name it…..I got it.

The first few days at school, he just stayed at the door, but after a couple of days he started going into the toilet but was not doing his needs.  His teacher realized this, because his clothes were as when he went in….it is inevitable that 3-year olds would not pull up their pants well.

My son loves routines and anything new needs to be introduced slowly.  However, something had to be done, so I went to First Years Malta and bought this 3-in-1 toilet trainer.

you can find it on amazon as well 3-in-1 toilet trainer

I had seen some reviews, but still was not sure whether it was going to work for my son or otherwise.  We have been using it for a few weeks now and must say that it was the best Eur34.95 I spent…..as soon as I arrived home, he wanted to try it out and from then onwards he only started using the toilet.  Since I started using the 3-in-1 toilet trainer I noted that when he comes home from school, his clothes as not as when I sent him meaning that he is pulling his pants up.

It is very easy to assemble and when closed it fits pretty much anywhere.  It is also easy to clean.

If you are just starting potty training I highly recommend that you start using it immediately, because as you can see from the picture you can use it as a potty and then transition to the toilet.  You will definitely get your money’s worth.

However, we still have another hurdle to overcome, because despite everything, he still refuses to do no2 in the toilet.  One step at a time….eventually we will get there.

I hope this blog post has helped you, if you have been going through the same potty training issues.

Love
